Advice Process

We have well-defined initial and ongoing client processes to facilitate the personalised service we provide. We ensure a robust foundation from inception, upon which we build a framework of regular, transparent and effective communication.

We look to establish and build mutual trust and understanding through interaction and the provision of expert advice tailored to each client’s situation and their aims for the future. As adept listeners, we take the time to understand a client’s preferences and priorities, grasping what is important and what they want to achieve at key stages in their life.

1. Initial meeting

At the initial client meeting our primary objective is – getting to know each other

Learning about you is naturally our top priority at this stage. We’re interested in your past financial experiences, your present situation and how you see the future from a financial perspective. This is the first step to aligning your finances to the extent and timing of your personal goals.

The meeting also involves discussing some essential compliance protocols and completing an ‘attitude to risk’ questionnaire with you. We may also gather information to enable us, with your consent, to establish contact with your existing plan providers as necessary. At this stage we may also utilise our market-leading Trinity Financial Forecast which combined with the expertise of our highly qualified team will bring your plans and objectives to life in an interactive, visually appealing way.

2. Follow-up advice meeting

During the follow-up meeting, we present our initial advice and recommendations

Our initial advice and recommendations are clearly laid out and presented to you in a visual and interactive format. We discuss and collaboratively review the advice and recommendations, taking the time to ensure you fully understand our recommendations. Having taken into account your views on what is proposed, we finalise the next steps before proceeding to implement our agreed plan.

3. Implementation

We then progress our advice to the implementation stage

Our specialist team work with the selected providers to implement the agreed recommendations and to keep you closely informed of progress. You will be provided with online access to allow you to keep up to date on your portfolio between our review meetings and our team will be on hand to talk you through log in details and usability. Once the implementation process is complete you will receive confirmation of completion as well as being offered a chance to provide feedback on the service as we are always happy to hear ways we can improve our service.

4. Ongoing advice meetings

Annual review meetings provide clarity on your financial progress and an opportunity to ensure suitability of plans

Your financial situation will evolve over time along with the economic and political landscape so to keep abreast of this, we have annual review meetings and the updated output from our Trinity Financial Forecast provides added clarity on your financial progress. Such meetings present an opportunity to review the ongoing suitability of your arrangements and to discuss and agree any adjustments. This would include an assessment and review of investment performance and markets relative to your specific choices as well as a wider economic review. A summary of the impact of any legislative or statutory changes that might impact on your strategy, for example, changes in taxation law and a review of your attitude to risk and volatility linked specifically to the performance of your funds, to ensure continued appropriateness.

5. Keeping in touch

We stay in regular contact to highlight relevant issues that may affect you

As part of the ongoing advice service you will receive bi-monthly newsletters that will keep you up to date with relevant financial matters and helpful information, with ad-hoc communication surrounding important events such as the Budget. We feel that keeping in touch regularly helps us future-proof your plans as much as possible.

6. Always there

Our team are always happy to help

We understand that your personal life and financial plans may shift at any time so whether you have a simple question or need to make a fundamental change to your bespoke plan, we will be there for you when you need us most. We are also aware that financial planning is wide reaching. Via our partnership with Lifetime Connect we will be happy to refer you to a range of specialists such as the Wills and Probate team at Lifetime Solicitors.
